Soy cheese is the cheese which is made of soy (soya bean or soya sauce). It is also known as Vegan cheese. This soy cheese is very common among diet conscious individuals. The milk content available in this soy cheese still remains a controversy. Some of them claim that soy cheese does not contain any milk, whereas on the other side there are people who say that there is some part of milk content in soy cheese.
This soy cheese is also free from gluten. The texture of soy cheese is much softer when compared to the normal cheese. This cheese contains a tasteless, odorless, white milk protein called Casein. Soy cheese does not contain any kind of dairy, tree-nut and peanut products. It does not have any kind of Trans fat. Per ounce of soy cheese will give you only fifty five calories when compared to the normal cheese.
The taste of soy cheese is not that great when compared to normal cheese made of milk. If you have sincerely decided to use only soy cheese, then try to consume the cheese when it either chilled or hot, because it tastes a little better in these conditions.

With the increase in people preferring soy cheese, even some of the reputed pizza companies have started using soy cheese.
