Cheese and it's nutrition

Cheese is one item which is rich in fat. One cheese sandwich will give you over five hundred calories. The total fat present in it is thirty six grams of which the saturated fat is about eleven grams.  There is about ninety one milligrams of cholesterol, forty grams of carbohydrates, twenty eight grams of protein, twelve grams of vitamin A and twenty two grams of calcium.

In the similar way, if you consider Blue cheese, it has about five grams of fat and thirteen grams of cholesterol in it.  While Cheddar cheese has about forty four grams of fat and hundred and forty nine milligrams of cholesterol in it.
Though there are other minerals and vitamins in cheese, the fat and cholesterol content is on the higher side. Which is very bad for your health. If you cannot resist cheese, and if it a must in your diet then go for the low calorie cheddar or Colby cheese, which has very less fat content when compared to the other types of cheese.

One cubic inch of low calorie cheddar cheese will only add about thirty calories. The total fat you consume in this case is one gram; cholesterol is about four milligrams, carbohydrates of less than one gram. If you are diet conscious then this is the best for you.  You not only relish the taste of cheese but will not gain those extra pounds, which is sure to happen if you consume other types of cheese like the mozzarella and Ricotta.
